I haven't read a book for pleasure since high school. Sad, I know, but in college I took so many reading courses, some of which required us to read an entire novel every week...on top of our other homework! So, I guess I got burned out. That was until everyone me around kept talking about the "Twilight" series. I ignored it for a few weeks, then when my friend Kristin mentioned it, I thought I needed to see what the fuss was all about. I started the first book in the series titled "Twilight" and read all 500+ pages in less than 2 days, during the kids naptime and at night when they're in bed. Now I'm a good way through the 3rd book in the series. I'm impressed with how much I actually like the storyline. I didn't think vampires and such would appeal to me, but I'm always up for a good love story, even if it does include vampires! ;-) If you are interested in the books, here is a little information:
Bella Swan's move to Forks, a small, perpetually rainy town in Washington, could have been the most boring move she ever made. But once she meets the mysterious and alluring Edward Cullen, Bella's life takes a thrilling and terrifying turn. Up until now, Edward has managed to keep his vampire identity a secret in the small community he lives in, but now nobody is safe, especially Bella, the person Edward holds most dear.
For Bella Swan, there is one thing more important than life itself: Edward Cullen. But being in love with a vampire is even more dangerous than Bella could ever have imagined. Edward has already rescued Bella from the clutches of one evil vampire, but now, as their daring relationship threatens all that is near and dear to them, they realize their troubles may be just beginning...
As Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge, Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob—knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella has one more decision to make: life or death. But which is which?

They are truly addictive. I read them back in August before the true craze began. I did not think I would like them, but I loved them, and finished them so quickly. Enjoy-the 4th one is GREAT!
Man..I might just have to jump on the bandwagon here. My aunt LOVES this series.
