stock show time!!

This year our county changed the requirements for stock shows and they now allow all school aged kids to participate in the stock shows. So, of course Truett wanted to participate. He has been working so hard the past several months, with Rhett's help of course, in feeding, walking, and working with his goats. Last weekend was our local town show and kind of a practice run for the bigger county show. Truett was a bit nervous at first, but he did great! He ended up getting a 1st and a 2nd place with his 2 goats. He was so proud! This past weekend was the county show. He was only able to show one goat because both were in the same weight class. He did really well in keeping control and showing it for the judge. I had to control the tears when the judge pointed at him and said he got 1st place! That meant he made it into the sale that would happen later in the evening. He took Claire into the ring for the sale and ended up doing really really well! I am so proud of the hard work he has put into this and how much pride he took in doing it! Way to go T!
